槍花樂隊誕生於1985年的好萊塢，是美國搖滾樂史上繼性手槍以來最受爭議的樂隊，樂隊是由兩支樂隊L.A.GUNS和AXL.ROSE合並而成的，因此雙主唱“槍”和“玫瑰”的完美和音壹直是槍花樂隊的招牌特色。他們的歌曲主要反映了青少年們的無由的憤怒與迷惘的情緒，表達出了壹種不安和性覺醒的意味。他們的音樂主張和樂隊成員的出軌行為自樂隊成立起就成為評論家和搖滾迷們津津樂道的內容，因為對這些搖滾人士而言，他們的生活方式可以說就是他們的音樂內涵的最好闡述。1989年，Guns N' Roses 獲得了首屆 國際搖滾樂大獎的最佳藝人獎。92年就被權威的《滾石》雜誌稱為“全球最佳硬搖滾樂團”。此時，他們已經成了壹支足以與任何老牌搖滾勁旅相抗衡的世界著名搖滾樂隊。然而由於樂隊兩名靈魂人物的矛盾激化，不久之後槍花樂隊宣布解散，樂隊成員各自發展，但都是表現平平，失去了往日的銳氣。雖然在90年代末樂隊重組的大潮中，槍花樂隊也重新復合，但創作力的消失讓期待他們的歌迷大失所望。

2.PINK FLOYD：《Wish you were here》
六十年代英國產生了不少經得起歷史考驗的樂隊，而PINK FLOYD樂隊無疑是其中最偉大的壹支，從某種意義上講，它對於搖滾發展的貢獻要大於被尊稱為搖滾鼻祖的BEATLES，Pink Floyd在搖滾領域許多方面的開拓和創新為它投下了耀目的不朽的光輝。1965年，天才青年、21歲的Syd Barrett與另外三名樂手組成了PINK FLOYD樂隊（樂隊名字取自他尊崇的兩名布魯斯歌者的名字Pink Anderson和Floyd Council），他能文能武，寫歌、演唱，吉他彈奏樣樣拿手。樂隊在樂器演奏上的實驗精神，以及Syd Barrett詞作筆鋒犀利、曲式輕松閑雅的創作力很快就讓自己在英國搖滾圈裏享有了較高的地位。1967年後半年，天才的Syd Barrett由於精神崩潰和吸毒問題永遠的離開了樂隊，不久死於糖尿病。喪失了靈魂人物的PINK FLOYD似乎只有奇跡才能拯救。然而就在此時，Royer Waters——貝司手兼主唱，Pink Floyd的具有雄才偉略的新舵手以及新上任不久的吉他手Dave Gilmour構成了Pink Floyd再生之後的創作陣線。PINK FLOYD鳳凰涅磐獲得新生，並且創造了前所未有的更大成就。樂隊延續實驗搖滾風格的新專輯《Dark Side of the Moon》為搖滾史帶來的“概念專輯”的新思想。它在公告牌排行榜冠軍的位置上不可思議的停留了741周。從誕生那天起到現在它壹直都是全世界範圍內流行最廣的搖滾專輯之壹。

3.DEF LEPPARD：《Long long way to go》
DEF LEPPARD是壹支典型的流行重金屬樂隊（樂評語），流暢的旋律和優美的和聲是樂隊的特征之壹。DEF LEPPARD音樂中的優美旋律令樂迷們對重金屬音樂有了新的認識，無數熱血青年受DEF LEPPARD音樂的引領步入重金屬的殿堂，而這壹點也成了壹些評論家和重金屬狂熱者攻擊的目標。我是這樣的觀點：音樂發展到今天，已經漸漸偏離了本性，流派類別之爭非常激烈，搖滾看不起流行，流行當朋克是垃圾，其實大可不必如此。音樂原本就只是壹段供給人欣賞的旋律加節奏的合成體，因此只應該有好音樂和不好音樂之分，而不應該硬性的歸結流派。任何壹支樂隊或歌者都是有其自身特點的，如何分的那麽清楚，有些樂隊甚至是無法化入任何流派的，如Cranberries（卡百利）非常的有個性。因此，我認為，壹支樂隊只要他的音樂動聽入心，那他的音樂就絕對有理由得到尊重。讓流派見鬼去吧，Def Leppard就是Def Leppard 風格。
DEF LEPPARD成立於1977年的冬天，前身ATOMIC MASS（核能聖餐）樂隊，1978年7月18日樂隊第壹次登臺演出是在謝菲爾德的中學韋斯特菲爾德，他們的報酬是壹位老師自掏腰包的5英鎊。1978年DEF LEPPARD在自己創建的公司推出首張同名專輯《DEF LEPPARD》，由於資金原因，這張EP唱片只制作了1000份拷貝，時至今日，這張唱片已成為搖滾迷們渴望已久的藏品。隨後DEF LEPPARD開始走向成功，並成功殺入美國，成為當時唯壹能與邁克爾·傑克遜爭雄的樂隊。
然而壹系列的災難降臨到樂隊身上，吉他手酒精中毒病故，鼓手酗酒被開除，鼓手裏克·艾倫發生交通事故，左臂被齊肩切斷，但艾倫以驚人的毅力和頑強的意誌重返樂隊，利用腳和手的合拍性苦練特地為他定做的電子鼓，並成了樂隊的靈魂人物，艾倫用這種超強毅力和音樂執著大手筆的書寫了真正的搖滾精神。

4.NIRVANA：《Smells like teen spirit》
世界上沒有幾個歌者能象KURT COBAIN那樣在死後得到眾多樂迷們“搖滾之神”般的供奉。
90年代，美國的失業危機重新擡頭,朋克樂在音樂界再度爆炸，西雅圖的Grunge音樂風暴引起了強烈的反響與轟動，KURT COBAIN組建的NIRVANA（涅磐）堪稱GRUNGE的領軍人物。1991九月，專輯"Nevermind"發行，剛推出5周銷量就已達到50萬張，92年1月11日成為美國銷量第壹的唱片，全球的銷量超過壹千萬大關。在商業上取得了巨大的成功。(Nevermind)使Nirvana步向成功，創造了壹個非主流樂隊成為主流的神話，同時也開始了壹場心靈的悲劇。這首《smell like teen spirit》是NIRVANA 專輯"Nevermind"中的代表作品，音樂中扭曲的吉他，沙啞的歌喉，猛然的爆發把Kurt Cobain 內心的狂燥、憤怒、壓抑、扭曲、病態、激烈的矛盾沖突完全顯示了出來，同時也也反映了KURT溫柔、感性、脆弱和恐懼的壹面。在MTV的unpluged演唱會上，Kurt Cobain 更似壹個沈靜、害羞的小女孩，與外部世界的格格不入已經為悲劇的爆發奠定了伏筆。
1994年4月5日，在中國祭拜亡靈的傳統節日，KURT COBAIN在自己的住所用獵槍結束了自己的生命。自殺的原因就如同他在《where did you sleep last night》中那最後壹聲無奈的嘆息壹般，沒有人能夠真正理解，也許神就不應該留在人世之中的吧！KURT COBAIN用行動實踐了他的音樂理想，如鳳凰壹樣涅磐重生，然而留給無數樂迷的卻是無盡的懷念和心痛！！！

5.GOO GOO DOLLS：《Iris》
1985年主唱兼吉他手John Rzeznik與玩重金屬樂的表哥Robby Takac找來前鼓手George Tutuska，於美國紐約州水牛城組成了三人搖滾團體Goo Goo Dolls。樂隊在發行前五張專輯的過程中，雖然贏得了壹些好評和人氣，但是樂隊並未樹立自己的音樂個性，因此也未能從眾多的另類搖滾樂隊中脫穎而出，大紅大紫。
但是老天似乎特別偏愛他們，幸逢電影《City Of Angels》邀請他們為其原聲帶寫作歌曲，John Rzeznik所譜寫演唱的《Iris》（希臘文，虹彩）壹曲，不僅為他們贏得1999年第41屆葛萊美音樂獎"年度唱片""最佳流行演唱團體""年度歌曲"等三項大獎提名，將Goo Goo Dolls的樂壇聲望與作品銷售數字提攜至頂端外，《Iris》壹曲的制作人Rob Cavallo更以此獲得"年度最佳制作"大獎。Goo Goo Dolls這才開始在樂壇樹立了自己的地位，也找到了適合自己的POP ROCK（流行搖滾）風格。
《Iris》堪稱流行搖滾音樂作品中十年壹遇的好音樂，音樂起始清脆急促的吉他SOLO，John Rzeznik飽含滄桑的低沈嗓音對世事對愛情滿腹的疑問，而曲至中段突然的高昂爆發似乎疑問已經轉為了真摯的誓言，“即便萬物毀滅，我也只要妳知道我是誰！”旋律的優美和主唱聲線的粗獷形成了鮮明對比，而正因如此，此首音樂脫離了甜膩情歌的範疇，成了百聽不厭的超級經典。由於這首音樂的動聽，各大城市音像店（city of angels）原聲CD俱已脫銷，連它的打口CD都已賣到了破記錄的30元。
這首歌的廣泛受歡迎度，更加應了我的那個觀點，玩過多年重金屬，重搖滾的老將壹旦演繹起配樂純凈旋律完美的柔情作品來，那才是歐美音樂中的極品，堪稱天籟之音！！！

6.POLICE：《Don't stand so close to me》
警察樂隊是將雷鬼樂與流行搖滾結合得最成功的壹支英國搖滾樂隊。由前“Curved Air"樂隊的鼓手Stewart Copeland和紐卡斯爾爵士樂隊“No Exit”的貝司手：歌手STING於1977年成立的，他們與吉他手Andy Summers和Henry Padovani成為壹個短期4人樂隊，不久，Henry Padovani離開了該樂隊，使之成為3人組合。
1978年初，“警察”與A＆M公司簽約，並於4月份報出了單曲《Roxanne》，這首歌首次展現了他們創新性的雷吉節奏的奇特搖滾。直到1年後，該曲進入美國排行榜前40名，才使“警察”在英國榜上起飛。

7.QUEEN 《Bohemian rhapsody》
很少有樂隊能象QUEEN那樣徹底地體現70年代世界搖滾舞臺的豐富多采。QUEEN就象壹個綜藝大廳壹樣，完美將華麗搖滾，前衛搖滾，古典音樂及重金屬熔為壹爐。這個來自英國由迷幻硬搖滾樂隊SMILE演變而來的四人樂隊致力於發掘華麗和誇張（並帶有同性戀傾向）的藝術風格，創造出壹種帶有濃厚歌劇色彩的搖滾樂形式，主唱Freddie Mercury性感而如同唱詩班的嗓音，四人完美的假聲合音，層層鋪墊的鍵盤和絢爛花哨的吉他solo是他們的標誌。
A Night At The Opera（歌劇院之夜）是QUEEN樂隊最為經典的專輯，樂隊為這張專輯的制作耗費了巨大的精力，有報道稱這是搖滾樂史上制作費用最高的壹張專輯。其中著名的單曲也就是推薦的這首Bohemian Rhapsody（波西米亞狂想曲）成了QUEEN的招牌曲目，在酷似歌劇唱詩般的華麗配樂中不斷加入大段的重金屬吉他riff和solo，這正是QUEEN的典型風格。這首單曲在英國排行榜上迅速升到冠軍的位置，並且在這個位置上停留了足有9個星期，並最終打破了英國單曲排行榜上冠軍停留時間最長的記錄。在美國，這首歌和整張專輯也獲得了巨大的成功，進入了排行榜前10位並同時成為白金單曲和白金專輯。甚至在十多年後的1992年，這首Bohemian Rhapsody還在美國單曲排行榜上獲得過數周的亞軍成績。

8. R.E.M ：《At My Most Beautiful》
包括NIRVANA在內的許多另類樂隊都聲稱他們的音樂啟蒙於R.E.M。R.E.M成立於1980年，他們是在美國的Georgia州的Athens城組建的，樂隊名字是“RAPID EYE MOVEMENT”（快速轉動眼球）的縮寫，指做夢時的壹種生理現象。這支樂隊在英式朋克音樂的嘲諷態度於新浪潮的音樂層面上出發，重新定義了美國搖滾樂中“另類”的定義，從某種意義上講，他們是美國另類搖滾之父。
